Phi gets some production on the blueline from a guy you still hasn't entered his prime and is solid on the back check.

Before you say it I know Lupul has played for EDM before but that was years ago under different management.
EDM gets a young dman who can run the PP and already has chemistry with Schultz as well as scoring on the wings and a young center who can play on the 3rd line
TOR gets a scorer to help on the second line and a young homegrown dman

That EDM trade is a joke. wouldn't get you Eberle OR Nurse.

As a Flames fan I have to agree with Draisaitl_94. That's a brutal trade for EDM. Lupul is akways injured and adds nothing of what EDM needs; he's negative value. Eberle is a 60+ pnt guy and Nurse is a top D prospect. Gardiner struggles and Holland hasn't shown enough yet. I'm sure EDM will pass.

And we give back a good maybe great player, and a possibly a future top 4 defenseman that I hope will turn out better then Gardiner.
