Filling the gaps in the Flames current and future line-ups in 3 moves.
Target playoff teams with cap troubles.

To CHI: 3rd rnd in 2016, Mark Cundari, cap space
To CGY: Versteeg and/or Roszival, Rundblad, 2nd rnd

Chi gets cap relief and a couple picks. CGY gets a RW and right shot D to help now as well as a right shot D for the future. CGY could also move Smid at reduced salary instead.

To TBL: Ben Hanowski, 6th rnd 2015
To CGY: Eric Brewer, Brett Connolly

TBL gets some depth at fwd in a decent prospect and cap relief. CGY gets a vet D to work with the kids and a prospect bordering bust territory and needs a change. Being past on the depth chart by several young fwd's Connolly needs playing time he will not get in TB.

To MIN: Wideman (CGY retains $1.5 mil), Glencross and a 2nd.
To CGY: Coyle and a 1st or Dumba.

MIN gets a D that can play big minutes to ease time on Suter as well as provide a PP boost and a fwd that is a solid top 9 or even 6 and excellent PK'r. CGY gets a potentially solid RW for now and the future and possibly a solid right shot D or another 1st.

Gaudreau/Baertschi-Monohan-Colborne

TB does not need any cap relief. They're currently 1.8 over the cap, but they will LTIR Ohlund with his 3.6 or sth, so no problem there.

but if TB is happy with their lineup now and are under cap they don't need much flexibility. ther is still 2 mil, so enough to add a decent player at the deadline if they're in contention.

^exactly. I also think, if you have to 2mil in cap space now, when we're at the deadline, TB could add a player with a higher cap hit than 2 mil, right? Because more than half of the season I already gone
