Sign Micheal Del Zotto, Keaton Ellerby & Andrei Loktionov, as a projects and Sami Salo as a mentor. Trade Myers for a project, pick and prospect: Brendan Smith, 2015 2nd round pick and Andreas Athanasiou. If Murray did this, Buffalo would have a totally new defense not one that allowed over 34 shots per game (3rd worse in the league).
The defense would have two veterans & five former 1st round picks:
Josh Gorges----------Michael Del Zotto
Sami Salo------------Brendan Smith
Andrej Meszaros------Mark Pysyk
Keaton Ellerby

Del zotto will soon realize his options are quite limited if that's the case. if a contender wanted him they would have snathed him up already.

Meszaros signed with BUF for $4.125MM. IMO Del Zotto would accept a similar offer from who ever gave it to him. If Murray could pull off my proposal above, he would shorten the time for BUF to return to the playoffs and compete, by at least a year.
