LA wouldn't do that simply because they gave up much much more to phily for richards.
its actually probably more than richards is worth, but he just won't be going back to philly unless out of absolute necessity from LA, as it would look horrible on them lol

3.) LA would do this because they do not care what they gave up for him at this point. Since he among others got to LA they have been one of the best teams in the league. He has helped them win cups and become a model franchise.
Now they are in cap trouble and he provides the least out of their big named guys and he carries a huge cap hit if this trade was available to them I can't see them saying no

no, they wouldnt. there's 28 other teams in the league, there's another suitor just as good out there.

Flyers at trade deadline:
Bobby Ryan has lots of interest of coming to the flyers. He doesn't want to resign with Ottawa so they probably should get something for him. But the flyers will not overpay because they could/will sign him in the 2015 offseason.
So this is what I think.
Flyers Acquire: Bobby Ryan
Senators Acquire: Brayden Schenn, Luke Schenn,and a 2016 2nd round pick

lol if the flyers won't overpay for ryan someone else will, there's 28 other teams. also, what makes you so sure he's going there in the offseason anways.
8.) It is too bad that Tim Murray did not sign Del Zotto as I was hoping. IMO he could have reaped a return already, Del Zotto for Vincent Lecavalier & 2nd. Maybe? or NFW?

Potential Trade Bait
Hextall could try to shed the salaries of center Vincent Lecavalier and defenseman Braydon Coburn, though both carry no-trade clauses. Teams could inquire about Jakub Voracek, Matt Read and Sean Couturier. Hextall may be loathe to part with any of them, but it could be necessary to move one to address his roster needs.
Possible Trade/Free-Agent Targets
Among blueliners, trade options could include Boston's Johnny Boychuk, NY Islanders' Dan Boyle and Winnipeg's Dustin Byfuglien. Pittsburgh's Matt Niskanen is this summer's best available free agent defenseman but could prove too expensive. Andrei Markov could be a more affordable option if he doesn't re-sign with the Montreal Canadiens.
Among free-agent left wings, Thomas Vanek, Mike Cammalleri and Milan Michalek could be available. The latter two will be more affordable than Vanek, who's coming off a seven-year, $50-million contract. Winnipeg's Evander Kane is a tempting trade target, but the asking price could prove more than Hextall is willing to pay.
Thoughts on trades? Like what trades could happen.
