Canucks obviously aren’t ready to contend, they need to retool and get players and pic’s. Demko is affordable and cost controlled for the next 3 or 4 seasons, and just coming into his prime. A big upgrade on what they have already, and cements a need that will become an issue for the Devils in the future. Not many goalies on the potential trade market like him. NJ probably says no, but to get a goalie like him, you got to pay the price.

That is a massive overpayment for Demko.
Holtz was #7 overall in 2020, Nemec was #2 Overall in 2022, that is 2 top 10 picks, plus Blackwood, for Demko.
Extremely high price to pay.
