Jets do this if they think Nylander can be their #2C. Toronto gets a #1RHD that they need. Both cap hits should be close depending on Troubas new contract.

This could work as a base, but only if the Jets scouts are absolutely convinced Nylander can play center full time in the NHL. Nylander and a plus could be in the ballpark.

If the scouts only see Nylander as a winger then there would be no deal to be made.

No thanks as Nylander isn't a true center and his contract is large enough that the Jets could possible use that money to pay for the player (s) that they get in return for Trouba.

Jets get a very good C. Oilers get the greatest athlete of all time. The jets are an athletic all star team the hockey team would beat the Warriors in a basketball game.

Well I agree with vbb, to get one of the greatest athletes of alltime in trouba, going to have to add, possibly an entire team+ a some athletes from other sports.

If jets could get McDavid, lebron, Jordan in his prime and babe ruth dug up and reanimated and 3 1sts I think jets gm might not hang up immediately. he'd have to considerate it at least.
