Thank you leafs for a wonderful season! I can only imagine what the future can hold for such gifted goal scorers. That being said defense has many holes and clearly the biggest weakness of this team so you know what they say trade from strength to help the weakness. Leafs need a proven dman who knows how to win but still has many years left in this league. Austin and Mitch are untouchable but anyone else maybe
TOR - Nylander, Gardiner
LA - Doughty
It may seem as though Doughty has been around forever but he is only 27 has 2 cups a fixture on team Canada and a proven winner locked up long term LA needs a change they can't score Nylander can definitely help with that problem and Gardiner had a nice year he will help fill the hole with Doughty leaving
So people tell me am I far off? Your comments are appreciated

No from LA a trade would have to be like 6 assists with lots of value to start a rebuild and I don't see why they'd rebuild.

Might try adding Marner and Matthews. Delete Nylander.

It would be nice forsure, but I don't think that will get ya Doughty. Doughty is still young as well and has years left as a top Dman in rhe league.
If I were the Kings, and ya wanted a top end talent, i'd also get the trade partner to take either Brown or Gaborik as well. Kings have cap issues. so if ya want a Doughty. your going to have to give alot. and take a lousy contract as well. that's what i'd do if I were Blake. but that's why he is a GM. and i'm not. Lol.

two things

1) doughty lost a step this year. Could be bad season. Just didn't look like the doughty of old.

2) that doesn't get you doughty. Start with Marner and Zaitsev.

Great season for the leafs. minus the odd blow out I can't remember being excited to watch the leafs play!
That being said yes they have a few holes on D- but taking the Presidents trophy winner to 6 games 5 of which were overtime the holes are not so major.
Why trade Nylander and Jake when you can keep both and go with a UFA option. Players are finally going to want to play in Toronto!

5- Daley
