For all the leafs fan out there, saw a rumour on this.

Leafs: JVR + Gardiner

Blues: Shattenkirk + 3rd

Idk how I feel about this and I don't really care, so I'm asking you guys for opinions.

I think it's somewhat believable.

Too much for 1 year of Shattenkirk. Doubt he would resign in Toronto.

Agree with @BJ96
Shattenkirk is a great and capable defenceman. But that's an overpay for a player who most likely isn't going to resign. Also, Shattenkirk won't play that well because Toronto's roster isn't good.

Why would a bottom 5 team in the NHL want a rental opposed to a package of prospect of a young D . Honestly I'd rather have Gardiner over 1 year of Shatenkurk. If this moved happened this organization would lose all credibility this is a true Burke trade. I honestly would rather trade JVR for a 2nd RD pick just because shatenkurk would hurt the chance of getting Patrick next year. This is a terrible trade I really want you to know that you have a very little understanding of the Maple Leafs Organization. Also JVR>Shatenkurk with contracts considered. And now I just read that you got this off of a site and I apologize but same thing goes to who ever proposed this.

What if Shattenkirk were to sign in Toronto (don't think he would but let's say he does) then would it be worth it?

I still don't think it'd be worth it McJesus I'd want to hold onto Gardiner. JVR> Shatenkurk.

No I realize the blues cap situation and blues needs. Shatty should be traded fir a first rnd pick and elc prospect.
