Why does Edmonton want 2 really old guys? Not mention they're taking on $5mil in cap. With Drai, McDavid, Nuge and Letestu, absolutely zero need or interest in Plekanec.

It's the sense behind it. Montreal needs a RW, but it can't be an expense of their top centre. And that's a lot of salary for Edmonton to take on and would put them over the cap. Edmonton wants a young good D man for either Eberle or more likely RNH.
