Gives you hope a good player will take a hometown discount for more chances to win, gaboriks definately set himself up for a few playoff runs in the near future.

It's not really a discount, it's just very front-loaded. The term is long too. Iffy contract. If Gaborik keeps getting injured then it's not going to look so nice, is it?

If he keeps getting injured they get the pro rated cap relief if he's on injured reserve, I agree too long of term.

The diference is that we got The great gm and the good gm! Bob Murray, Dean, Bergevin and the guy from Chicago are the great! I mean Max pac for 4.5 millions that's a steal
