If the Jets trade Scheifele in division they won't be targeting bottom of the lineup players. They'll be looking for prospects or ELC's with lots of team control.

Miller won't resign in Winnipeg, so the Jets have to pass on that one, but Chytil would be a nice piece.

LA apparently isn't in on Hellebuyck, they want PLD, but those are decent pieces to work around. Helle also wants a long term extension wherever he goes.

The Minnesota offer is horrible and Jets laugh at it. Last summer Anaheim didn’t even bother to qualify Steel cause he’s a bum.

BALSAM: WPG has great hockey fans, but it’s no secret it’s a tough market for to sign or re-sign free agents. That’s not opinion either, it’s a fact. There’s a growing number of players, including Canadian players, who don’t want to play in ANY Canadian market. (Another fact)

I too share the opinion that Miller wouldn’t re-sign in WPG if he was traded there. He loves playing in NY, and not many markets can compete with NY for the excitement it offers young men making millions.

Vilardi a 23 year year old who was over a 50 point pace and Kaliyev is a 21 year old with high potential. Would need to sign Helly to a steal of a contract to make that even close to fair.
