Kings get a winger that can play with Kopitar after Brown retires.
Jets get a decent 2 way winger. May not put up the points Wheeler does or did. But is a hard working 2 way player. More affordable player for second line.
It would also give Jets more salary room.

I can't see the Jets wanting to trade Wheeler for A 3rd/ 4th line player. The Jets have a too many of those types of players.

Kings are in the midst of a youth movement and Iafallo is a part of it. The only reason to trade for Wheeler would be to flip him at the deadline. But I would not give up Iafallo for him.

There's nothing in it for Winnipeg. They might as well just keep the better player. Iafallo's contract is pretty bad for his production.

Iafallo is a 2nd line player on the Kings, probably more of a middle 6 player overall. Can’t say if the Jets would do this trade but I don’t imagine the kings would want to get older.
