Van: 4th pick, Chris Wideman
Ott: 7th pick, 37th pick, 2019 4th

Canucks get to see spot where they get to pick the defenseman they want that isn't named Dahlin. Also pick up another D in the process through a sign and trade. Ottawa drops back three spots with so many different holes to fill they will get a good player and get back into the second round.

no from Ottawa.

2.) 03 Jun 2018 19:34:05
No from both. Dumb trade imo.

3.) 03 Jun 2018 20:24:42
Huuuuge no from Vancouver, there will still be a damn good defenseman available at 7 for us and maybe even Wahlstrom, there is no need for us to move up in this draft.

4.) 03 Jun 2018 21:26:09
Why would Ottawa do that. Moving up 3 spots in the top 5 can make a difference between a good and an elite player. Also giving away wideman, who was AHL player of the year 2 years ago, is absurd considering your Ottawa is moving down the draft.

OTT: Brent Seabrook, #8,#27, 2019 2nd
CHI: Bobby Ryan, Alex Burrows, Mike Condon, #5

Bad contracts flip. OTT trades down where they can still get a good defenseman. Ryan might do well in Chicago with Kane if he can stay healthy. Two forward spots for youngsters open up in Ottawa. Ottawa could package the Chi and Pit pick to move up in the first.

Sorry. that should be #4.

2.) 30 May 2018 14:55:42
Ottawa laughs at this and hangs up. Ottawa in no way sacrifices the 4th to move Ryan, especially not for that return lol. Ryan is a much bigger asset to his team than Seabrook is and Seabrook is one of the worst contracts in the league and yes is a much worst over payment than Ryan.

The objective is to make our current situation better, NOT worse.

Wtf did i just read.

2.) 19 May 2018 04:24:23
i def. wouldn't do it if i'm col.

3.) 19 May 2018 19:23:54
Ott 1st rnd in 2019 is worth gold right now.

4.) 31 May 2018 19:37:11
How is Ottawa's pick worth gold? They'll be back in playoffs next year. not worth throwing brown away.

OTT: Karlsson
LA: Kempe, Phaneuf, Clague, M. Anderson, 2019 1st, 2018 2nd

LA just seems like the kind of place LA would go. Assuming LA would like to sign Doughty too, Ottawa needs to take a bad contract back, and seeing they are already paying 1.75M for Phaneuf, may as well take him back as an overpaid 5/6 but good voice in locker room.

At draft..lottery gives Ottawa fourth pick

OTT: Erik Karlsson, Z Smith
CAL: M. Tkachuk, 1st 2018, 2nd 2019, 3rd 2020

OTT: Dzingel, Cal 2018 1st, 3rd 2018
CAR: T. van Riemsdyk, Car 2019 1st

Ottawa selects B. Tkachuk

Hoffman - Duchene - Formenton
Stone - Pageau - Ryan
M Tkachuk - B Tkachuk - McCormick
White - Brown - Paajarvi

Chabot - van Riemsdyk
Ceci - Wolanin
Boro - Wideman

With Carolina trade Ottawa helps blueline and gets back into the deep 2019 1st round.

Haha.2/ 3 draft picks from Calgary one already gone.

2.) 05 Apr 2018 07:11:11
Calgary doesn't have a 1st or 2nd.

3.) 05 Apr 2018 14:48:23
CGY doesn’t have those picks and no from them anyways, that leaves them with 5 top 4 d men and giving up one of their best offensive players which they need more of. Makes 0 sense positionally for Calgary.

New Jersey: Erik Karlsson, Bobby Ryan @ 50%
Ottawa: Pavel Zacha, Jesper Bratt, Michael McLeod, 2018 1st, 2019 1st

This is really bad for NJ.

Bobby ryan has negative value.

You would be lucky to get the following with 50% retention on ryan

1st 2018
McLeod
2nd rnd pick.

2.) 22 Feb 2018 03:15:07
No from Jesery apparently Karls0m is worth Bear and a second.

3.) 22 Feb 2018 04:03:24
Colt65 your accesentire of this trade is just as bad as poster.
Karlson is worth a 1st 2018 top prospect good nhl player and more but when you add Bobby ryan then you need to subtract from what your giving.

4.) 22 Feb 2018 05:48:07
@colt, you are delusional like they say and I’ll tell you why: he’s only worth a B prospect and a 2nd if he goes to Edmonton. The same logic doesn’t apply to other teams or fan bases. Come on man, try to keep up.

Ott: Hoffman, Ceci
LA: Gaborik, Clague, Iafallo, 2nd (1st if LA makes it to West Conf. Final).

LA Rosa Gaborik contract, gets Hoffman who could play with Carter when he returns. Ottawa gets rid of the bad contract they will give Ceci before they have a chance to offer it, get a great prospect and someone who may chip in more in bottom 6. And maybe Gaborik has a little gas left in tank.

Hey Greg I'm going to go on a limb and say that you're a LA fans right?

I think it's believable, but would only work if Arizona is desperate for someone at 4.

Tampa deals Sergachev and a 2nd for Ryan Strome. Peter Chiarelli puts Yzerman's number on speed dial.
