Ott : cbj 2019 1st, Paul

Ana : ana 2022 1st

Cbj 1st won't be that great anyway being mid to late, so why not if you're Ottawa just bank on next year's draft and take a chance on Anahiem dropping the ball in 3 years time.

Ana on the other hand can use the pick to add some more depth and be ready when getslaf and Perry go as they wouldn't necessarily need a full rebuild but rather just a retool as they have a number of good prices still in place like Henrique Silverberg Richie Lindholm fowler. Paul could easily fit in on the main roster there as a depth piece and the pick could be something too as it is mid range and would just need a couple years to develop.

How so? A known mid 1st, and a B prospect who can be a decent role player in bottom 9 for an unknown pick. How is that dumb? Anaheim gets 2 sure things and Ottawa takes a chance on a future draft. Sounds pretty decent to me and no bad contract involved on either side.

Nick Paul isn’t a B prospect. He sucks.
