Blues traded up in the draft just 6 months ago to get kostin because they couldn’t believe he was still there at 31st. Don’t think they want to trade him for a goalie with 11 games experience. 6’3 210 pound scoring winger is much more valuable to them, especially since jake Allen is only 27 and obviously their guy for the next few years. Would you as a habs fan trade one of your top prospects at 18 years old for a back up goalie? No, so why would anyone else?

Lindgren is most likely a starter in the next 3-5 years.

OK but as Jim stated blues have Allen and then have this kid named villa husso. But your right they should trade a young Russian stud for future back up goalie lol.

Goalie is the most unpredictable position when it comes to prospects. Only 60 jobs in the NHL, so to tell me that 3-5 years out, you’re that sure this guy is going to be one of the best 30 goalies in the world is a guess at best. Nothing’s certain, but I’d take my chance on a big skilled 18 year old scorer making an impact in the NHL before I’d be sure Lindgren is a good starter.
