Conditional 6th Round Pick

*If Montreal wins the Atlantic division and/ or makes the second round of the playoffs, a 6th Round Pick is awarded.

If Montreal makes the conference final (no matter their standing in the regular season), and Polak has played in half of the playoff games, a 5th Round Pick is awarded,

If no condition is met, a 7th Round Pick is awarded,
__

Was bored, so came up with a bunch of conditions on a rather meaningless pick lmao. Basically Pateryn (who is younger), for Polak (who is more physical, but with Marchenko, he could be on the move)

Allows Pateryn to be our 7th defenseman, and Polak to slide into montreal 6th dman spot.

Polar isn't worth a 5th on his own lol.

I dunno colt. Last year polak (and threw in spaling) got the leafs 2 2nd round picks. Not saying that will ever happen again, but he could fetch something of value. Teams always looking for a physical, cheap PK Dman at the deadline. But with leafs in the mix this year, if it's swapping him for another depth D that's not much younger, they'll just keep polak, they know what they have in him and how to use him. If they could get a pick 3rd or better, they would probably move him again.

If Polar was still with St. Louis, he'd be worth a 1st.

getting 2 2nd round picks last year doesn't mean that it will get the same. not all GMs are that gullible.
