Tampa Bay trades: A. Killorn
San Jose trades: 2nd 2018 + N. Rod + 5th 2017

Tampa Bay acquires a 2nd that is used in the second trade and a prospect and a late pick. They might lose Killorn to the expansion draft anyways. San Jose needs secondary scoring and could play Killorn on the second line LW. We saw Eller go for 2 2nds and I believe that Killorn is better and the same age.

Carolina gives up: H. Fleury + 3rd 2017
Colorado gives up: T. Barrie
Tampa Bay gives up: B. Point + 1st 2017 + 5th 2017 + 2nd 2018 (Higher of their two 2018 2nd Round picks) + D. Masin

Carolina gets: B. Point + 5th 2017
Colorado gets: H. Fleury + 1st 2017 + 2nd 2018 (Conditional) + D. Masin
Tampa Bay gets: T. Barrie + 3rd 2017

Carolina has a surplus of young d man and need some Offense. I value Point more than Fluery so that's why Carolina adds the pick.
Tampa Bay needs another top 4 defender and soon if they want to stay in the playoff race.
Colorado gets a solid d prospect a wild card (unpredictable prospect) and a a late first and second

My reasoning for Tampa Bay needing another top 4 defenseman is as follows:
From what I've seen the Tampa Bay defense (with the exception of Hedman) is not generating very much offense. Not only are they not creating offense but they are also allowing easy entry into their zone and allowing to many turnovers in the neutral zone.
Now statistically the Lightning are also do very poorly. The rank 25th in GAA, 20th in Goal Differential Per Game, and are 18th in shots against Per Game. They also rank in the bottom third in PK %. Their only defenseman that has over 15 points is Victor Hedman. And Stralman is the only other one with more than 10 points. This would not be a huge problem if they were solid defensively but only 2 of their 6 defensemen have a positive +/ -. Currently their top 4 is:
Hedman - Sustr
Nesterov - Stralman.
I don't believe Sustr should be a top 4 defenseman on a contending team.
Now obviously the goaltending needs to be better but I am certain acquiring another starting goalie is off the table. They could look for improvement to come from within the organization but there is only so much longer they can wait. They are in the middle of the pack currently and if they wait much longer they could be looking at competing for a wildcard spot. If you look at other Cup favourite teams they all have more solid defenses. Aquiring a RHD would also be good because they can then play alongside Hedman

Tampa definetly needs a Top 4 D. Their Defence is playing very bad in their own end and that makes it a lot more difficult for their goalies. They also generate almost no offence (except Hedman like you said) .

Tampa is in the market for a top 4 D. Aside from Hedman, Stralman, and to some extent Coburn their D has been embarrassing.
