WPG: Koekkoek

TBL: Dano, 5th

Both players couldn't live up to their expectations so far and also don't get the amount of playing time they need. Winnipeg wants a young LHD with upside and Dano could thrive with good offensive teammates on the Bolts.

TBs top9
Namestnikov - Stamkos - Kucherov
Palat - Point - Gourde
Killorn - Johnson - Dano

WPGs D lines
Morrissey - Trouba
Koekkoek - Byfuglien
Kulikov - Myers

1.) 10 Nov 2017 07:11:11
No from tampa. They have enough offence and dano isn't that good

17 Sep 2017 13:36:45
SJS: Sustr, 4th
TBL: Tierney

Not a blockbuster, but a small trade that i think helps both teams.
If Sergachev makes the Bolts out of camp, they will have 8 D on the roster and San Jose currently only has 6. Tierney still has some potential, but he is stuck behind Thornton, Couture and Hertl on C. This allows Tampa to put Point on the 2nd line RW and Tierney on 3C. The pick is for the age difference (26 to 23).

1.) 18 Sep 2017 03:52:31
Not awful but Sustr kinda sucks, I'd rather keep Tierny, the late pick doesn't help.

CBJ: Saad
CHI: Anisimov, Dano

WPG: Dano, 1st
CHI: Ladd

CBJ: Panarin
CHI: Saad

(1+3 trade other little pieces involved)

Crazy. 2 Saad trades within 2 years in the end basically Anisimov for Panarin, as Dano is now in Wpg and Ladd in Ny. Wins for Clb and Wpg.

Tampa Bay has roughly 23mil in cap space. Then they sign Johnson, Palat, Koekkoek, Dotchin, Gourde. Leaves about 10 mil left. Who will they bring in?

My possibilities:

Joe Thornton 2yrs 5mil aav

Contract would end exactly when Kucherov and Point need new deals.
Imagine these lines:

Palat - Thornton - Stamkos
Point - Johnson - Kucherov
Killorn - Namestnikov - Erne
Paquette - Gourde - Callahan

Cody Franson 1yr 3.75 mil

An Offensive RHD is what they need.

Hedman - Franson
Sergachev - Stralman
Coburn - Dotchin
Koekkoek - Sustr

I know Franson isn't a first pairing D but Dotchin played almost the whole second half of last season there and that shows that Hedman can make his partner look so much better. Sergachev gets a mentor in Stralman and Dotchin one in Coburn. Very balanced wit LHD and RHD.

02 Jun 2017 17:08:43
TBL: Hamonic
NYI: Johnson

Tampa gets their RHD and with Point ready to take over the 2C, they can afford to deal TJ. The Islanders get a good top 6 forward and solve their expansion draft problem. They protect Boychuk, Leddy and De Haan.

Ladd - Tavares Nelson
Lee - Johnson - Strome

Hedman - Stralman
Koekkoek - Hamonic

1.) 02 Jun 2017 17:42:20
I like it, but only as long as one of the other centres on the Isles can swap to wing successfully.

2.) 02 Jun 2017 18:49:15
This fits positional needs for sure, would this happen after expansion draft tho?

3.) 02 Jun 2017 19:57:27
If its after the expansion draft, then New York probaly goes 4F 4D and one of Lee/ Nelson/ Strome will be exposed. They can save that player with a pick tho.

4.) 02 Jun 2017 22:07:50
Tampa needs an offensive defenseman. Harmonic is the opisiste.

5.) 03 Jun 2017 06:57:03
Tampa needs a top 4 Dman. Offensive or not. I think a legit top 4 RHD, whether known for offense or not, will make a big difference on both sides of the puck.

6.) 03 Jun 2017 08:54:52
This is a sole trade which I could see happening as a base.
But in order to help both teams with protection stuff it would have to happen before the expansion draft, right?

7.) 03 Jun 2017 15:13:00
Pretty good. Only thing is if I'm the islanders, I think I want a small add from bolts because Johnson is an RFA and hamonic is locked in at under 4 million. That contract has to count for something. Either Tampa adds or Johnson agrees to a deal that works for islanders prior I would say.

Nice win for our swiss boys today against the big canada :). Canada was clearly the better team but what an OT winner tho.

1.) 14 May 2017 01:54:34
Congrats Swiss. jus to bad we couldn't play best on best. lol.

2.) 14 May 2017 14:38:42
It seems Canada always has trouble against the Swiss.

I was bored so i researched on elite prospects for possible 2017 draft steals:

Mason Shaw, C, 18, Medicine Hat, WHL
71G 27G 67A 94P
Ranked #69 by Future Considerations

Only 'problem' i suppose is his 5"9 181 size.

For comparison:
Cody Glass, C, 18, Portland, WHL
69G 32G 62A 94P
Ranked #16 by Future Considerations
Ranked #7 by ISS Hockey

Josh Brook, D, 17, Moose Jaw, WHL
69G 8G 32A 40P +17
RHD 6"2 185
Ranked #77 by Future Considerations

Would be a nice steal at 77 with these stats, his size and the fact that he is a RHD.

Do you know any other hidden gems in this years draft class?

1.) 01 May 2017 22:52:17
Jocton Chainey really caught my eye at the u18's this year, looked like Canada's best player at some points.

Just wondering about Tampa Bays Forward protections in the expansion draft:

Stamkos NMC
Callahan NMC

Now Killorn or Namestnikov?

Killorn: 78GP 18G 16A -14 6yrs 4.45M$
Namestnikov: 71 GP 10G 17A -2 1yr 1.94M$

I would probaly protect Namestnikov, bc he is younger and has more upside. I think Killorns contract will decide it: in the case they think that they can invest the money in a better option, they will expose him. Other case, the fact they gave him 7yrs means they count him to their core.
Maybe Yzerman brings Callahan to waive his NMC and they protect both.

Which player would you protect?

1.) 07 Apr 2017 23:58:34
I personally would let them take Namestnikov and I think that's what the Lightning organization is doing because they're really high on Killorn.

2.) 08 Apr 2017 00:25:04
Killorn will be exposed imo.

3.) 09 Apr 2017 15:25:35
Killorn should be exposed, his contract was designed to be taken by LV.

03 Apr 2017 17:24:52
Some rumours in the past about Tyler Johnson being available. What do you think about his trade value and possible trade partners?
I could see the Hurricanes and maybe the Coyotes being interested in a Centerman.

1.) 03 Apr 2017 20:14:49
That all really depends on how TB values Point, if they think he can replace Johnson there is no reason not to trade him.

I'm not sure I see zona as a good fit, they have Strome, Keller, Dvorak, and others coming up there. Carolina is definitely an option, if a D comes back.

2.) 03 Apr 2017 20:23:13
Canucks could use him.

3.) 03 Apr 2017 23:01:44
With Tampas need for D Nashville jumps out at me. As does Anaheim if he switches to wing or goes 2A/ 2B with Kesler. Carolina. There are some pieces from Vancouver i'd want but not sure at johnsons value. Thinking Tanev too much and Subban could be had for less. Those are some of the ones that jump out at me.
