It's essentially the 1st for Subban. Saying it's too much for Subban is iffy at best. I don't think montreal would make that trade.

what if mathews is a bust like Yakopov or doesn't reach his ceiling like RNH. Subban is proven norris material. SO first overall is just not enough.

The leafs won't do this, doesn't fit with the shanaplan. I'd rather keep the 1st round pick, whoever they draft will fit in their age group better than subban. Plus whoever Montreal hires as a new coach next year will be brought in to work with their stars like subban and price. Subban is not the problem in Montreal.

Leafs fans be patient stick to the shanna plan rebuild through the draft with all those picks and let Mike babcock teach all them from a young age you will have an awesome team. Blues waited and stuck to the plan. With exception of 1st round knock outs, We have been awesome. its worth the wait and the window will be open for a longer time.
