Not Enough for drouin.

How is that not enough?
Sanheim (20) is a highly skilled defensive prospect and Laughton (21) is a good C who has the potential to become a top 6 caliber player. And a 2nd. This proposal is good enough.

This deal is basically 2 first rounders and 2nd round pick for 1 first rounder who hasn't cracked the NHL yet, even while playing with highly skilled pieces on TB

This deal is fair IMO, although Tampa could probably get a better offer from a team willing to give up more than they should.

Oh please. Tampa would jump all over that.

Too much for Droid. Solid defense prospects are hard to come by. Sanheim straight up is fair.

Not sure why but a lot of people over value drouin on here.

1. East teams have to blow west teams out of the water and from potential deals I've heard from the west this doesn't do it.
2. Drouin has cracked NHL roster (was sent down for conditioning/ to not lose rostwr depth on waivers) and to say he hasn't made it even on a roster full of skilled players kinda proves the point there were simply less spots to grab.
3. Laughton won't be a tip 6 forward and Sanheim looks like a second pairing guy. That for a guy whose shown flashes of being a superstar? I'm not saying it's terrible but high chance it ends up like the Seguin trade
4. Drouin is rarely overvalued on this site. While I agree he won't get an equal player in return people on here seem to think he's worthless because they won't look at the stats around him that are actually useful. Just look at the surface. His points/ 60 numbers are already elite and aside from turnovers his game is starting to round out nicely. He's mid way through the 2nd year of his ELC. He'd be a top 6 forward today on most NHL teams and has undeniable superstar potential. And his requesting a trade does 0 against his value. Why? because it puts no pressure on Yzerman to make a deal. Drouin has no power in the situation.
