Risky move if the Oilers went through with a trade like this. Would the Oilers add to counter-balance the increased cap of Shattenkirk?

Wait until draft so blues know how high the pick is, start there, then add other pieces. Shatt is a beast.

Lander is not having a great year though his numbers don't look bad from years past. I agree wait till draft.

Lander is actually having a pretty good year so far, his numbers are not reflective of it.

he has played 15 games and has 0 points and is -5. The blues already have enough of the those type of players. Like Patrick Beglund and Ty rattie. Sobotka (next year) so with that the only thing enticing is your 1st rnd pck un-protected.

how bout your 1st for jay Bowmeester. That trade seems fairer we will add a second rnd pick.

Top pairing dman that can skate and start the break out with offensive upside, that can log 25+ minutes and has a decent cap hit for a few years. But you don't want to pay anything for him. Especially from a team who is playof bound and considered a contender. Well with that requiremtnt good luck finding a top pairing dman. Why don't you find a dman from a team in a firesale like phanuef from toronto.
