versteeg only costs 2.2 million since the Florida Panthers are holding back half his cap hit. So Montreal is actually taking a total of about 8 mil back

I wish people would stop wishing that Sharp would come to Montreal. Habs need a center. he's getting older . not scoring as much with a great team like the Hawks . Like don't see him getting more than 20 goals and 20 points with Montreal. For what you'd have to give up. I jus don't see the value in it. He's not the guy that puts them over the top.

Don't get me wrong. he's a good player. like his character and is a heart and soul guy. If this was 3 or 4 years ago. I'd be all over this. Jus really worry what you pay for. Really don't want another Scott Gomez situation .
