Last year Eberle > Kessel

Younger, cheaper, less baggage, similar points last season.

Last 4 seasons
Kessel 275 points in 294 games
Eberle 241 points in 287 games
Just because a player has a down year doesn't mean he's a worse player but I guess based on the logic your using

Brassard 60 points in 80 games + 9
Hall 38 points in 53 games -1
Brassard > Hall.

CX, you just went wholly against your point by showing those stats and commenting on a playing can have a down year. Their four year stats, especially PPG are similar enough that Eberle, based on his contract alone, is the more attractive player.

Hes averaging close to 10 more points a season with a way worse supporting cast how is that going against my point?

Hall played the whole season injured only the last 5 games and the first two weeks was he healthy lol bad comparison kessel wasnt onjured he was on a better overall team and did worse then eberle edmonton is the worst team on defense and don't have great goaltenders and yet eberle had a better plus minus

Plus minus? Robidas was a + player on the leafs this season, Lindstrom won the Norris trophy as a minus 2. Please explain to me how plus minus is even a relevant or consistent enough stat to go off of? Actually more likely than not Hall has healthy in all the games he played and just had a down year (similar to Kessel). Toronto has better goaltending and a slightly better blueline and bottom 6 but as far as top 6 forwards (the position which generates the most offence which will enhance the performance and stats of your other top 6 forwards) Edmonton is the clear winner. And when you get to play behind RNH and Hall it should generally create more space and opportunity to put up point totals without being the main focus of attention on the ice.

did u even watch the games hall wasnt nearly as explosive he was last year he was scared to throw checks and that blueline the leafs have is much better then edmontons shultz and nikitin enough said. eberle was the offense this year for the oilers he's also the most durable and most consistent forward for the oilers. and since we re throwing plus minus out the door does that mean yakapov and ovechkin we re wrongly critiziced for there lack of defence.
