Oilers: Purcell ($4.5 m / 1 season left)
Hawks: bickel ($4 m / 2 seasons left)
Even though Purcell is more expensive, but In the long run it is better for Hawks when they want to sign seabrook in 2016. Oilers get some size and grit.

Oilers: nikitin ($4.5 m / for 1 season)
Ducks: wisniewski ($5.5 m / for 2 seasons)
Ducks need to sign 3 young dman. Nikitin is cheaper and only 1 season left. Oilers get a better dman, grit, and right shot dman.

No from the Ducks

No from Ducks? How about no from Edm! Wisniewski was a healthy scratch this playoffs and with that contract he definitely shouldn't be. That would be a good trade for Ducks as they have a lot of young talent to sign to raises and need the cap space bad.

Wisnewski>Nikitin

Nikitin should be paid under 2 million

i agree that wisneiski is better than nikitin, but the dicks aren't playing him at all. Now nikitin is cheaper and with a one year contract instead of 2 year at a higher price. Buying out nikitin if they have to is easier than buying out wisneiski.

Hawks cap problems are happening this offseason, so taking on a bigger contract is counterproductive to what they need to do now.
