Tor - Phil Kessel, Richard Panik

SJ - Joe Thornton, Tomas Hertl, 2015 or 2016 1st rd pick

Toronto will most likely be looking for a roster player, a solid prospect, and a 1st rd pick for Kessel. Thornton would work as the first line center sheltering younger players during the rebuild. His cap hit would be gone by the time the younger guys would be looking for bigger contracts. Hertl isn't getting the same opportunity he was a year ago with the Sharks but could get a lot of ice time with the leafs. The first would be in 2015 unless it was top ten then it would become a 2016 first rounder.

San Jose get Kessel who had strong chemistry with Pavelski and would give them a big time goal scorer. Panik would add a young roster player that adds solid depth to their third line.

Yeah and I'm sure the Sharks are asking for a roster player and a first as well. Little too much from the Sharks but I think Thornton going to the leafs could happen.

At first glance it looks like too much from San Jose but I think this is pretty close, maybe the leafs add a 3rd or 4th round pick but something like this wouldn't shock me this offseason

Honestly I wouldn't want Jumbo Joe, so mayb drop Panik (Really good for the Leafs this season w 11 Goals) and Thornton and add like some other pieces (pick, 3rd liner) from SJS

That's no where close enough for Thornton and hertl.
