Well, now that Cody Franson has been traded to the Nashville Predators, the initial trade proposal I suggested is now null and void. How about this semi-blockbuster instead?

Toronto trades: Tyler Bozak, Olli Jokinen, 3rd Round Pick 2015

Anaheim trades: Emerson Etem, Matt Beleskey, Rene Bourque, 2nd Round Pick 2015

Anaheim acquires a solid 2nd line center, with good faceoff percentage, an expiring contract in Jokinen who can somewhat help during the playoff run and a 3rd round pick, well that's self-explanatory, usually a crap shoot prospect.

Toronto gets a good prospect in Etem, an expiring contract in Beleskey who is going to ask for a pay raise, Bourque which is a salary dump, and a 2nd rounder which is another crap shoot.

Discuss!

You Realize that Bozak will be slotted as a 3rd line Centre with Getzlaf and Kesler occupying the top 2. Anaheim won't pay that much for that.

How would Bozak be their number 2 centre when they already have Getzlaf and Kesler, Etem has a good future and is proven as a 2-3 line winger, Jokinen is a UFA after this season and will only add depth to an already deep Anaheim team.

Etem + Beleskey > Bozak
Rene Bourque > or = to 3rd round pick
2nd round pick > (IMO) than Olli Joking

Asking a lot for some under performing players. Also Bozak can be a useful 2nd line centre but without a doubt, he's going to be playing behind Getzlaf and Kesler. IMO I don't see the ducks giving away that kind of talent away for some more centres. If anything they'll upgrade literally every else before adding more centres.

It's fair but makes zero sense for anahiem

@flyersfan7475

- Bozak would be #3 center
- jokinen is a cash dump, dumps don't go to contenders
- etem is a really good prospect, would barely trade him for bozak alone
-beleskey has 20+ goals this year already, worth a second

toronto gets all that at no cost
