Saw a post about Ottawa tanking here's what I think it would take, at the draft because fixing Edmonton's problems would only make the pick return lower:

To Edmonton: Craig Anderson, Patrick Weircioch(rights), Kyle Turris, 2016 2nd.

To Ottawa: 2015 1st.

Edmonton gets a Number One goal tender, and Kyle Turris/ RNH as a 1/2 punch isn't bad. It gives Edmonton needed depth at D with a guy that could become and established top 4 d-man.

Ottawa gets a valuable pick, drafts a star. Then they shed some dead weight and retool for next year.

Im pretty sure Edmontons already stated that they're not trading their 1st and I don't think that's enough to get it anyways

your last sentance explains exactly why EDMdoesnt do that.

dead weight does not get you a top 10 pick.

NHL Teams don't tank Seasons with 50+ games to go.
So you are a season ticket holder of Edmonton or Ottawa and you find out your Team is tanking it to get one Player in the Draft for next season.
How does that make you feel?
I will admit if there is less then 5 games in a season left and a Team is on the road and losing all those games puts you at 1st overall pick, yes I can see Teams tanking it to better there Team at the Draft, mind you if its found out that Team is in huge trouble with the NHL Board.

You guys don't know anything about hockey either. What so you think? If the great one got traded what makes you think that this pick which everyone thinks will be conner macdavid.cant be? And I will ask for lehner.instead of Anderson. He is younger and Edmonton will get more from him in the fture

Edmonton really needs the goalies so it's possible that they might because they don't need another scorer

If Oilers get #1 or #2 I would imagine it would be Top 2 dman and that teams 1st. Or young Top 4 dman, solid goalie, and that teams 1st. Unless injuries occur it is looking like McDavid and Eichel will be franchise players.

Turris alone is worth that pick I don't know what all u edmonton fans are thinking, like your 1 pick isn't crosby

For the record pinball, I am a sens season seat owner.

I posted this trade to see what other people would think it would take. This looks after a lot of edmontons needs. I didn't mean these were Ottawa's dead weight players I should have expressed that. They fill the Oiler's needs and I think it is a likely or close to likely proposal as I've seen here.

I would much rather pay the thousands I did to watch my team take a first overall pick than miss the playoffs by 3 points and wind up with nothing.
