I think the Oilers and CBJ should figure out a trade. It sounds like Johanson and CBJ are not seeing eye to eye. I have read that CBJ has offered reasonable offers but nothing.
IMO maybe Johansen just doesn't want to play for the Blue Jackets any more.

SO;

Oilers - Johansen (there is our 2nd line center)

CBJ - Yakupov, Arcobello

** CBJ gets a young talented winger in Yakupov and a soild player in Arcobello.

** Oilers get the bigger 2nd line center they need and then they don't need to rush Draisaitl into that position.

Could it happen?

Big no from Columbus. If you want Johansen you need to talk bigger, such as RNH, Eberle, Hall etc. arcobello and Yakupov are not at that level yet. Johansen is and Columbus is a 'Win Now' team.

Oilers add, not every 1st pick turns out to be great, ryan has proved he's good in the nhl and yak not yet

I guess it makes sense. If I was Columbus I would want a bit more though. Sure the number one overall pick is great, and will become good in the future. But now, he is not worth that much. Arcobello is a 3rd line center, Columbus have plenty.

IMO; Edmonton should add a pick

Maybe for Yakupov, Arcobello and a 2015 or 16 1st.

I would say edm adds a 2nd and its fair

So what Draistl plays 3rd line for the next 15 years?

Oilers add a 2nd/3rd

Good trade but don't know if it would happen

The trade seems decently fair, but I think someone other than Arcobello being included would be better for the Oilers. Johansen takes #2C on his expensive two-year bridge deal, Arcobello takes #3C, and Draisaitl goes to Europe for next year as planned. Then, the following year, Johansen (or, honestly, possibly RNH if he doesn't up his game) gets moved for a #1 or #2D, and Draisaitl comes into the league more seasoned and takes over #2C.

Maybe Yakupov and Davidson, off the top of my head?

That being said, Johansen won't be traded. Pipe dreams.

IMO CBJ would be looking for an equivalent return to what they would get in an offer sheet, relative of course to a number of factors (I am not saying they want 4-1st round picks for him, but a proven player, some decent prospects and/or higher draft picks is probably close).

With that said Edmonton needs to add. Not because Johansen is anything but a good young hockey player but bc you have to overpay for young talent.
