Oduya is way more valuable to Chicago than 4th and 5th picks. Brunner trade is fair. Not sure on the last one, but I think Calgary wants Backlund in the future.

What? They would never give up Oduya for a 4th and a 5th that is not even that early, for all I know they might make the playoffs. And why trade Ward and get Ramo in return? You have a big goalie problem. And Brunner would never play on the 1st line on MY hockey team. He is a 3rd/2nd liner. And also IF that goes through, Carolina would be left with no depth picks.

This is bad, I can see Oduya & Brunner being dumps, but I'm pretty sure many teams would offer more for a decent 2nd pair Dman and a spiddy mid line forward. As for the Calgary trade, They have Hiller now, they won't spend 10m + on goalies alone, they have no need for Ward.

That CGY trade is ridiculous. Trading Backlund won't happen because Monahan isn't ready for 1st line C, Stajan isn't good enough. He's the best player in the trade and the trade would mean 8 NHL Dmen. Also sending down Lindholm is ridiculous. He had a great year. As good as Monahan

I doubt Calgary does that trade they get 3 overpayed players for a future 2nd line centre,a future starting/backup goalie and a nice 4thliner

^ Backlund's already a 2c, he'll be playing on the first line for Calgary this season but on an okay team he's a 2c. And The Hawks are in cap hell. A 4th and 5th would do fine.
