Sounds like the Islander's are looking to make a deal with the Leafs.


NYL: Anders Lee and their 5th pick

TOR: Dion Phaneuf, Peter Holland and 4th rd pick


Anders Lee is a young big center with upside and the 5th pick could be used to climb up the draft board.

The Islanders are in despite need for a top pairing Dman and Holland's will fill in nicely as a 3rd line center.

There is actually no report anywhere of the Isles wanting Phanuef, so this is just another Leafs fan make stuff up.

If the Isles are going to move the 5th pick they are not also going to move a top tier prospect unless that D-Man is a top tier D-Man, and Phanef is a second tier D-man.

You do not even understand the type of player Lee is. Lee is not a center in the NHL he is going to be a LW and guess what the Isles need A LEFT WING.

Phaneuf is only going to be in 1 of two places next year, Toronto or Edmonton so stop trying to pawn your garbage off on other teams.
