Kasper was drafted as the future 2C. To lose him and a potential second pair D (Willander) or top 6 potential forward (Perreault/ Wood/ Barlow/ Danielson/ etc. ) is too much for the Cat.

No to both of those.

Ottawa should NOT be giving up a proven 40 goal scorer for a Goalie under any circumstances. Nor would a package of a draft bust, late 1st, and project be anywhere close to what it would take to get a player of DeBrincat quality. Sorry but HELL NO! You want quality you offer a quality return, it's that simple, or no home.
