Trade the rights to Ehn, Erne and Perlini at the draft for late round picks

Sign Fabbri to a 2 year $7.5 million deal

Sign Bertuzzi to a 6 year $30 million deal

Sign Mantha to an 8 year $64 million deal

Sign Bowey to a 2 year $5 million deal


Go after a free agent goalie, either Markstrom or Lehner. But I would offer either goalie a 4 years $22 million deal.

I'm sorry as I was working on this I forgot I'd included Puljujarvi in one of the trades. Here's what the lines would project like:

1. AA should be able to get more than that. Puljujärvi is a good piece but he’s not a consistent NHL-er so I would at least want a conditional 2nd or something because AA is the better player right now.

2. I guess that’s supposed to be Philadelphia? I don’t mind trading Daley but if retaining 50% only nets us a 6th. It ain’t worth it. Plus I feel Green has more value and could at least get a 4th with 50% retained.

3. The best of the three, perfectly comfortable trading Howard and taking back Ceci although I would say Leafs add a smidge since we’re retaining and helping them with Salary (Maybe conditional picks)

Happy to lose the guys you mentioned to Free Agency (Would swap Daley for Green, as I would trade Green) .

I say we give Erne, Perlini and Ehn a 1 year show me deals. If we have a new coach, they may fit better. I would only move them if get an offer we can’t refuse. Not expecting a massive return, just one where I can say I would rather have the pick than the player.

I’m good with all signings except the Mantha one. While I love Mantha, his injury history is scaring me from dishing out that big deal. I would try for a similar to Bert in term and higher AAV.

Wouldn’t mind going to sign one of those goalies, personally would prefer to make a deal for Georgiev but I’m still good with signing the other guys.

I like how you incorporated youth into the line-up although it may be too much at once.

Not a bad game plan but could be tweaked to be better.

Anything for Daley is worth it. He is a bad player with good character. Not something we need more of. And he wants out to a contender.
No one is trading for Howard. He has been awful this year.

Way too expensive for Bowey, I wouldn't even re-sign him. He is a replacement level guy. Fabbri probably needs a lower AAV with his injury history.
