Leafs: Zaitsev, Bracco, 3rd

Senators: 6th

Leafs offload a contract, and have enough to sign marner, etc.

Sens get a prospect, improve their pick, and could possibly offload zaitsev at a later date with some salary retention

I know zaitsev hasn't had the best run recently in Toronto but he's still capable of playing in the NHL. He's overpaid but he's doesn't have zero value, too many people heard Don Cherrys rant and just piled on. Last time I checked the Leafs were short on NHL ready defence, not to mention he was the only RHD to consistently play for them last season and one of there bigger bodies on the back end.

I'm not saying teams will be lining up to trade there best prospects for him, but the Leafs are a worse team without him and trading him for nothing makes zero sense.

Leafs should avoid trading Bracco he’s cheap and NHL ready. Would rather move Kappanen or Johnsson they have more value.
