For the Rangers it gives them more Cap Space to improve the Team through trades as well as gives them 2 younger players to build there future as well.

For the Leafs with all the young forwards they have on the team now plus Kapanen in the AHL who might be up this year and for sure next season, same as there Defence with Dermott, Valiev and Nielsen, adding a RNash and Girardi will help the young players develop plus Lupul is off the books.

Thoughts?

Or they could just keep their young developing players and not aquire 2 aging players with highly overpriced and fairly lengthly contracts (i believe) .
