Jets trade: D Jacob Trouba

To the Oilers for: C/ RW Leon Draisaitl

Gets the Oilers their much-needed right shot that can play 22 minutes a night while also solving their logjam at centre. Yes they lose Draisaitl but that's what it's going to take to get such a valuable piece and from within the same conference as well. Jets I feel don't actually need a left shot d in return they can sign Russell or give someone like Josh morrissey a shot. Tell me what u think.

Detroit says no, they're definitely high on the Michigan Native, Larkin and Dekeyser has really come to his own in Detroit as a steady top 4.

Winnipeg is overvaluing not the player but the return. In NHL history, it's a fact that when a player requests a trade, next to never do you get what yo wanted back in return. Other factors are involved. Winnipeg needs a player more on the ice than the bench, and as time goes on the value falls further. Look at the same situation throughout NHL history.
