They can lock up Shatty they have depth at center to make this trade add 2 good d men to there organization and they can draft dupois tkachuk or trade down and grab brown who is a big center.

Christ- i'm took it as a given that shatty would have to be extended. As for this will never happen. Shatty + one of Vince dunn, Jake wallman, Jordan Schmaltz. Would make your defense better. Shatty has been great in the second round has 44 points in 70 games reg season and in 2g 8 assist in 14 games so far in playoffs. Had a little bit of trouble with chicago but he was a part of dcore that shut down kane toews and pannarin. he also was part of d core that shut down dallas high power offence.

dunn LHD juniors, Wallman NCaa jordan Schmaltz, AHL were all top rating offensive dmen in their leagues this year, Both wallman and dunn were picked to their countrys world juniors teams. wallman had shoulder injury in ncaa and Dunn had wrist injury which prevented them from finishing their seasons. Jordan schmaltz tore is up for a bad chicago wolves team ahl

70 games 6 goals 30 assist first year out of college not bad for dman. Any way sorry for the book really excited about the blues and first coneference finals in 15 years and against the sharks.

Yeah, Draisaitl is 20 and had a great first season. They aren't trading him.

Without the security Shattenkirk doesn't have the same value.

Honestly its not about what you want or what i want its what both teams want. I understand you want shatty well we want Draisaitl. Now we have a tremendous set of young dmen one is nhl ready two are a year away but have performed excellently in their leagues and project to be 1-2 dmen.

For a 4th round pick in a draft that the talent level drops dramatically after the 3rd oa pick.

but your call. Fabbri and lehtera's, Statsny and berglunds play just may have made us not needing a centerman.

Who is projected to be a number 1 D? RNH would be your number 1 or 2 center and is close to Shattenkirk extended value. Steen is normally a winger is he not? Don't have a number 1 C between Tarasenko and Schwartz.

The blues suck and are incredibly overrated. Pietrangelo is an overpaid #4 defenseman. there's a reason he has never won the cup. Its because he sucks.

Shattenkirk is a hobo's version of Erik Karlsson. Complete waste of space on the ice and deserves to be played sparingly at best.

The rest of the Blues D core is lacklustre at best. They will probably wind up being AHL journeymen throughout their careers. OF course i'm talking about Parayko, Edmunson and co.

Bottom line, this team is not very great. The management is subpar and the coaching is awful. Hitchcock can't even control Tarasenko on or off the ice. that's a sign of a terrible coach.

Not surprised though.
