(Flames clear 2 contracts and get a center replacement, Sens get a 4th Round Draft Pick as compensation for taking back a 3M x 1YR contract so not that bad and a big 32pt Center who was also 2nd place in SHG)

Other teams will offer more for Jost IMO. He was just drafted 10th overall a couple years ago. While he hasn't panned out, it's not like he's been terrible.

Jost deal is fair value wise but I can see Colorado holding on to him. His potential is insane imo even if he has been disappointing. Colorado can afford to wait with Jost as their forward depth is deep.

No from Ottawa. Easy.
Stone sucks now and is overpaid. Basically a cap dump.
Tierney > Jankowski. Both in terms of skill and potential.
Tierney fits in Ottawa. Great two way centre.

Also, even for Ottawa taking a Stone’s contract is worth more than a late fourth.

This trade doesn't seem very wise at all. can't see sakic doing this when they could keep jost and instead of frolik. Take that money and add a few Mill and just take Tkachuk on an RFA offer instead. Point, Marner, Laine are also up for grabs. Colorado doesn't need to take bad contracts. just buy an RFA who is in his prime instead.
