I see PHI or ANA as two places that have assets Tampa would want and would make the most sense.

PHI: Drouin
TBL: Sanheim and 2016 2nd
-Philly has tons of young D in Provorov, Ghost, Morin, etc, one could be expendable to help their forward group.

ANA: Drouin
TBL: Theodore and 2016 2nd
-Again Anaheim has a lot of good young D like Lindholm, Fowler and Vatanen, and could use Someone like Drouin.

And now just because everyone else did it, send Drouin to my favourite team! :p

SJS: Drouin
TBL: Mueller, Goldobin and 2017 3rd
-This one is the least likely, just hope the value is fair!

1.) 03 Jan 2016 23:22:03
I was actually thinking of the Sanheim one, could be a good destination for him especially with the flyers struggling to score.

2.) 03 Jan 2016 23:40:52
replace sanheim with ghost.

3.) 04 Jan 2016 04:26:09
@jamesvanhockey Flyers don't want to give up gohst he's the reason why gagner was put on waivers so sanhime is fine in ther.

4.) 05 Jan 2016 17:45:29
Sachem has a higher upside than Ghost in the future. so how about Hagg, Cousins and that 2nd 2016.

29 Nov 2015 00:07:10
PHI: Wingels/Nieto, Stalock, 2nd 2017

SJS: L. Schenn, Neuvirth

Fair? Sharks need a bottom pairing defenseman and apparently they are interested in Luke Schenn. Also get a better backup goalie for Jones. Philly adds depth at forward, backup goalie and a pick next year. (The 2nd would be 2016 but the Sharks don't have a 1st or 3rd this year, so I don't think they want to get rid of their only pick in the first 3 rounds)

1.) 29 Nov 2015 13:54:57
Neuvritn is playing well but way 2 much coming from SJ L. Schenn is Garbage, no offense to him.

2.) 29 Nov 2015 22:04:26
Phi signed neuvirth so they can have a reliable backup for Mason. I doubt they trade a goalie that plays like a starter for a backup. no from phi

17 Oct 2015 15:46:05
Thanks for Martin Jones LA. The Sharks have played a total of 245 minutes of hockey, and Jones had a shutout streak for 234:33 of that time. He is tied for the league lead in shutouts and wins, and he's 2nd in Save percentage and GAA only behind Berra who only has 1 win (which was a shutout) . I know it's a small sample size but us sharks fans already view Jones as a god.

1.) 17 Oct 2015 17:10:13
I knew we shouldn't have traded Jonesy.

2.) 17 Oct 2015 18:26:09
but you have quick, there isn't any way he could have succeded in such a small role.

3.) 17 Oct 2015 18:27:33
you do realise we're about a week into the season, right?

Little early to call him some kind of god, don't you think?

4.) 17 Oct 2015 20:20:50
Yeah I said that above its a small sample size. But the Sharks have never had above average goaltending and Jones just gets us shark fans excited. And calling him a god was just my way of letting my excitement out.

5.) 17 Oct 2015 20:33:42
Wanted Edmonton to go after him but definitely can't complain with how Talbot has been playing.

6.) 17 Oct 2015 22:07:21
I agree. Oilers are without a win so far but goaltending has actually looked good so far. Both Talbot and Nilsson have done a pretty solid job so far. It's oddly goal-scoring that the Oilers are struggling with so far. Defense still needs upgrading as well but making due with what they've got hasn't been a train wreck. McL is turning things around. going to be slow-going, but you can see it happening already.

7.) 18 Oct 2015 00:07:22
@Prodepth, yes you did say it was a small sample size, and that's exactly why its way too early to start evakuating anything too much.

also, idk how old you are/how long you've been a fan, but nabokov was very good for the better part of the 2000's for SJ. aside froma a couple off seasons, he was consistently over a .910 sv % and a sub 2.30 gaa. what i'm getting at is that you have had very good goaltending for an extended period, even niemi in recent years would be hard to classify as below average.

8.) 18 Oct 2015 02:07:47
The real Oiler fans know when to blame our losses on goaltending and yeah I agree these losses are definitely not on them. They've always had a history of things just not going there way and losing one goal games but IMO there just not working hard enough and there PP is terrible right now. Kinda wish we coulda kept Neilson around as an assistant coach.

9.) 18 Oct 2015 05:24:24
Ya Niemi was good in 2011, 2013 and 2014.

12 Oct 2015 00:00:02
My 2016 season predictions (should've posted before th season started but I'mma go anyway)
* (wildcard)
Tampa Bay

New York Rangers
New York Islanders
New Jersey

St. Louis

San Jose
Los Angeles

Central was hard, I could see anyone of Chicago, St. Louis, Minnesota or Nashville pushing for the division title.

1.) 12 Oct 2015 01:41:15
Where's Ottawa? You only have 2 (Tampa, Mon) in the Atlantic. Ottawa the third?

2.) 12 Oct 2015 02:45:24
Oh haha my bad but I can see 3rd or 4th in their division.

3.) 13 Oct 2015 03:25:58
Buffalo will finish ahead of Boston

05 Oct 2015 21:34:48
Raffi Torres suspended for 41 games! I didn't think that hit was bad enough to suspend him for half the season without pay

In other Sharks news, Pavelski the captain and Couture and Thornton the As.

1.) 05 Oct 2015 22:45:29
Still can't believe 41 games, he's not even a repeat offender.

Good for Pavelski. Would of liked to see burns / Vlasic and couture with As

2.) 06 Oct 2015 00:15:59
BJ what are you talking about
Has 4 prior and one was a 21-gamer

3.) 06 Oct 2015 01:50:58
Torres punishment was a bit tough, but somewhat warranted. By the rule he's not a repeat offender, butt let's be real, I think it's safe to say he is the definition of a repeat offender, or what a repeat defender should be defined as if you want to look at it in that light.

4.) 06 Oct 2015 01:58:29
He's not a repeat offender? At first glance it looked like a shoulder to shoulder hit but slow motion you can see he tagged him in the head. Regardless he didn't need to run him like that, he's definitely been warned about crap like that. I don't know about 41 games but a lengthy suspension might smarten him up or possibly end his career.

5.) 06 Oct 2015 18:13:15
Technically he is not a repeat offender, but I think they took in to account he barely played last year and the fact he has 4 other suspensions. According to the discipline committee a player who goes 18 months with out a suspension from their previous one is considered to not be a repeat offender. Personally think the Sharks are better off without him anyways.

6.) 06 Oct 2015 18:22:35
Idk because he holds a roster spot. So the Sharks are forced to have only a 22 man roster until he returns. They can't remove him from the roster or his suspension doesn't "tick". And lmao he tried so hard to play again after playing only 5 games since 2013 and he ended up getting suspended.

7.) 06 Oct 2015 19:33:42
He hasn't been suspended before this for 18months meaning he's not a repeat offender. Guess they made a new rule giving his history. Pretty much what I'm trying to say is what Shankar said above.

Did anyone see Sam Bennett's hit on the shark's Radim Simek lastnight?

I'm not complaining there was no suspension, cause it was barely a late hit and looked clean. But how disrespectful can Bennett be? Final minute of an 8-5 game that his team is about to win, and he decides to level the smallest guy on the ice on the losing team who simply dumped the puck behind his own net which would've killed the clock and ended the game.

If it was a tight game about to go to overtime, I get it, you want to hype the crowd. Yet there was 20/30 seconds left and his team had scored 8 goals in the game. Looking forward to seeing the rematch in February, should be a heavy hitting game

1.) 01 Jan 2019 22:19:39
Like you said I dídnt mind the hit as much as the time he did it.

2.) 02 Jan 2019 00:14:26
Hockey is an emotional game it was probably done for personal reasons.

13 Aug 2018 20:46:34
Who would you say are the top 5/10 prospects right now?

My list (in no order)
Strome?(if he counts)

1.) 13 Aug 2018 22:02:50
Maybe dahlin should be on the list but I would think right now the better of the prospects would be guys not drafted this summer. In order for this years crop to pass a guy like mittlestadt they would have to show something more this season. dahlin is deserving cause he's so hyped and went 1st overall and is as close to a sure thing as you can get. i'm interested to see what petterson can do he should get plenty of quality ice time this year.

2.) 13 Aug 2018 22:09:48
Keep an eye on Philip Broberg this year could be anonther dahlin.

3.) 13 Aug 2018 22:22:12
My order is an order not a lot of people would agree with but out of those people mentioned-
1. Dahlin
2. Zandina
3. Peterson
4. Svechnikov
5. Middelstad
6. Makar
7. Hieskanen
8. Tkachuk
9. Tolvanen
10. Necas
11. Ilya Samsonov
12. Connor Timmons
13. Robert Thomas
14. Cody Glass
15. Jordan Kyrou
16. Quinn Hughs
17. Jesperi Kotaniemi
18. Lias Anderson
19. Dylan Strome
20. Owen Tippet

I feel like I’m forgetting someone tho but that’s my top 20.

4.) 14 Aug 2018 02:58:26
I don't follow enough. but. I like VBs list. looks pretty good.

How bout any way out in left field guys? Someone ya don't expect. the late round picks who have picked up there games. anyone?

5.) 14 Aug 2018 06:08:14
I condemned vbb list when I saw zadina at 2nd that was enough for me lol.

6.) 14 Aug 2018 06:19:46
Anyone watch the Hlinka tournament? Crazy how good 16 year olds can be. Lol Raymond and Holtz I think were their names on Sweden were really good players. Canada and Sweden both had some really good D that’ll be draft eligible in 2020. I’ve never watched the tournament until this year so I don’t know how these kids usually are but I’m thinking 2020 will be a strong year.

7.) 14 Aug 2018 15:33:13
I meant disagree with lol.

8.) 14 Aug 2018 15:40:31
Zandina has 40 goal potential and like I meant to say a lot of people will disagree maybe Petterson and Middelstad could be better 2-5 is a pretty close gap they’re all interchangeable but I feel like Svechnikov is extremely overrated he is more of a sure thing then Zandina but Zandina has much more potential. The Red wings system will bring the most out of him. So Habby stop being butthurt the Habs didn’t take him when they should’ve. Just sit down and wait because I’ll bet anything that Zandina will be the better player then Svechnikov long term.

9.) 14 Aug 2018 21:02:13
Wow bold predictions kid. And it has nothing to do with being but hurt I'm quite content with who the habs picked. i just find it funny to have him ranked so high when it could easily be argued he isn't even the top prospect on his team lol. I'd honestly take michael Rasmussen over him and he isn't even in your top 20. Along with about 35 other players who are better at this point then zadina. on top of that you don't even know how to spell his last name. keep trying though you might get there someday.

10.) 14 Aug 2018 21:03:01
Ebs I really like bo byram as well.

11.) 14 Aug 2018 22:44:06
Habby2 yeah him and Robertson were I think Canada’s best D from what I remember.

12.) 14 Aug 2018 23:26:14
Alexis leferniere and jack hughes should also be on every list if it's based on who people think will be better instead of who are actually better right now.

13.) 14 Aug 2018 23:43:18
Does anyone know much about that Russian kid the wild drafted a few yrs ago kaprizov or something? I heard he was pretty good but I don’t really pay attention to overseas players.

14.) 15 Aug 2018 05:39:18
I thought this was NHL prospects? They’re both undrafted and my list is based of long term potential. You’re clueless ( no offence) if you believe 35 more prospect have more trade value the Zandina.

15.) 15 Aug 2018 14:44:21
Madeindade, yeah Kaprizov was a top scorer in the KHL and looks really good for the wild. I believed he’s under contract over there until like the 2021 season though so he won’t be in the NHL for a couple more years. He could end up being the next Panarin tho, who comes over a little older than most top prospects but still tears up right away.

16.) 15 Aug 2018 16:00:37
Vbb considering some of the things you have posted over the last few weeks I don't think it's a good idea to call anyone on here clueless.

17.) 15 Aug 2018 16:45:41
I forgot Kaprizov he’d be in the top 10. You can try to tarnish my credibility all you want but every thing I’ve said has become true so far. People don’t like my opinion on the Maple leafs so they get upset. The reality is Mathews is 20 and is the 2nd to best U23 player in the game and the leafs are a top 10 team in the game.

18.) 15 Aug 2018 17:11:30
Everything you said has become true lol. leafs are a top 5 team in the league maybe even top 3 don't have to be a genius to know that man. i'm not concerned at all about what you think of the leafs. Like there is no logical reasoning to even rank zadina over svechnikov the only real edge zadina has over him is probably stick handeling. ill admit there may not be 35 prospects who are better but I can also bet he wouldn't be in my top 20 svechnikov would be I think. I don't see why you have him ranked so high. His numbers were good in the Q but not elite level. For example petterson put up elite numbers playing against men. Similar to tolvenen who you have ranked 9th. Maybe you can tell the future lol but right now zadina is not and would not be 2nd on any other person list who has followed hockey for the last 3 years.

19.) 15 Aug 2018 22:57:43
Thank you @ProDepth I’m a closet fan of the wild just don’t pay much attention to the Russians it seems they either come and are pretty good or they stay in the khl or leave for the khl but I heard he was pretty good! I don’t know how old he is but I’ll just google that! Appreciate the response though.

20.) 15 Aug 2018 23:11:07
I guarantee he’s top 5 on any list and like I said the top 5 is interchangeable also Zandina has a Better shot, Quicker hands and is a better skater then Svechnikov.

21.) 15 Aug 2018 23:42:34
I guarentee you he is not. And svechnikov hands and shot are at the very least equal ( I think are both better) and the skating isn't even close. Top end speed it's svechnikov hands down.

22.) 16 Aug 2018 03:37:11
Definitely not ESPICIALLY not hands he has the smoothest hands in NA professional hockey FOR HIS AGE imo yes over Kane. Crosby has better hands but they’re not quicker go look at his puck skills. Now in the KHL Datsyuk is still the king. If you disagree okay but the one thing you can’t take away from the kid is his hands and creativity. Did you even whatch the world juniors? He may have been the best player there he was the pillar of the Czech team.

23.) 16 Aug 2018 05:07:18
Yeah he was good in the wjc. But there are reasons he went where he did in the draft and svechnikov went 2nd to say he is better at this point is sort of ludicrous. I mean what did he do over the summer to make up that much ground. you may like him better that's fine IMO they could both be good or zadina could possibly have the better career or they could both be busts. But I can't rate zadina higher at this point because the last time I saw them play hockey svechnikov was better.

24.) 16 Aug 2018 14:52:56
Idk how you rank Zadina above Svech. Scechnikov was the consensus #2 pick this year. And to say you guarentee he’s top 5 on any list? A lot of professional hockey writers had Zadina ranked 4th (behind Dahlin, Svech, and Tkachuk) in this years draft rankings. So when you throw in already-drafted prospects as well, Zadina is definately not top 5, although he is a very good prospect.

25.) 16 Aug 2018 15:21:00
Yes pro depth that's how I feel too.

26.) 16 Aug 2018 18:23:32
Most of the top prospects from other drafts already graduated tho.

27.) 16 Aug 2018 19:19:42
if you look at all the names said before in this post. there’s many players who have strong cases to be better than Zadina (most of them are better prospects) . Zadina has huge upside, I’m a big fan of him, but right now you can’t rank him above guys who dominated other leagues. Tolvanen and Kaprizov looking nice in the KHL, Strome did great in the AHL, Petterson in Sweden, and on a lesser note Middlestadt in college (although Middlestadt also put up a couple points in the NHL last season)

28.) 16 Aug 2018 22:19:40
I’ll just say this in the 2014 draft Del Colle was the consensus #5 pick and I don’t know if a lot of you remember but I said he was overrated and I hope he didn’t fall to the leafs. ( I wanted Ehlers another Halifax Mouseheads product ) and what happened? He became a bust. Granted Svechnikov is a much more polished prospect but in reality having watched Evegini Svechnikov with the screaming Eagles I don’t see a big difference in level of play between him and his brother and imo that makes me skeptical of his hype. But I’ll redo my top 10 based off potential.

1. Dahlin
2. Petterson
3. Middelstad
4. Zandina
5. Svechnikov
6. Kaprizov
7. Makar
8. Hieskanen
9. Tolavanen

Also I just seen you believe Ransunnen will have a better career then Zandina. I have no idea where you get that idea they’re not even close potentials wise.

29.) 17 Aug 2018 00:41:01
Ok vbbb whatever man.

30.) 17 Aug 2018 01:03:48
I will add I didn't say rassmusson will have the better career. I just said I think he's better then zadina right now. guy was a beast in the playoffs last season. zadina was not.

31.) 17 Aug 2018 01:12:12
And I will finish by saying lol you said you ranked your list on trade value we'll just ask yourself would carolina really trade svechnikov right now for zadina straight up? The obvious answer is no. I don't mind you thinking he will be better who knows he could very we'll be. But he doesn't have more trade value right now I mean why didn't carolina just trade for him I'm sure detroit would have loved to move up to 2nd Along with gaurenteeing he is in the top 5 on every list those were the two most personic things you said. In this post.

32.) 17 Aug 2018 05:13:45
Well yes a consensus #2 pick has more value then the #3 Carolina obviously wouldn’t make that. I just believe Zandina will have a monster career and I’ll be surprised if Svechnikov becomes the Franchise player he’s projected to be.

33.) 17 Aug 2018 14:47:45
Svechnikov projects to be a Marian Hossa type player. Should be a solid top linebacker wing playing with Aho or Necas. (Unless the 3 of them become a line) . Carolina has a solid future with those guys and Fleury, Slavin, Pesce, Bean, Mckewon.

34.) 17 Aug 2018 16:01:02
I was out of this convo, but just read a few to see what was going on. VBB, habbys right about your bold predictions lol they’re very obvious. Secondly, Zadina wouldn’t be that high on my list either although I think the Wings got great value picking him where they did. But Habby saying petterson numbers in his draft+1 year against pro men were elite and that makes him better than Zadina because his was in the CHL against kids is a legit point but I don’t get how you can use it. Elias Petterson is a late birthday making him nearly an entire year older than some others in his draft class (like Matthews) . He put up really good numbers as an 18.5 year old against men in his draft year (Matthews weee better), and now he put up even better numbers as a 19+ year old (Matthews was already killing it in the NHL) . And VBB and I were out of line comparing those numbers to stamkos numbers because he was half a year younger and in the OHL. Well how can you then say petterson gets ahead because of the exact same situation? I agree with your viewpoint, but not how you get there, because that arguement was unfair a week ago. NHL players were being cut from Team USA world championship team for Matthews before he was even drafted and rules kept him out of the NHL, not talent. Peterson has been eligible to play in the NhL for 21 months and hasnt. Don’t want to start a big thing, but have some consistency if you’re going to call others out on it.

35.) 17 Aug 2018 17:25:16
Yeah they are I admited that but Zandina is one of those players for me that I notice every time he steps on the ice.

36.) 17 Aug 2018 19:15:48
But the comparison we made before was based on one player was already playing in the nhl and one wasn't. In this situation my point was neither of these players have played in the nhl yet but right now petterson would have to be considered better as he has put up elite numbers playing against men while zadina put up good numbers playing against mostly kids his own age. In the matthews/ stamkos comparison our argument was based around what they both did at age 19 and 20 where stamkos put up much better numbers at that age. but in all fairness stamkos was in year 3 of his nhl career at age 20 while Matthews had only played 2. Plus I rate the Swedish elite league considerably higher then the Swiss elite league.

37.) 17 Aug 2018 19:25:11
Plus he's pretty much only a year older then zadina and in my opinion zadina would not be able to match his production in the same situation this year. Now anything could happen when petterson comes to North America I'm not 100% sold on him being able to compete here at a high level yet either. we will see this year I guess. But right now I take him any day of the week and twice on Sundays over zadina.

38.) 17 Aug 2018 23:47:49
How are Zadinas number just “good”?

39.) 18 Aug 2018 01:27:42
Well a 15 year old in alexis leferniere posted about the same numbers. Only difference was leferniere was the best player on his team which made his numbers even more impressive.

40.) 18 Aug 2018 07:27:26
He’s also the most hyped prospect to play in the QMJHL sense Crosby and Rimouski plays in a more offensive oriented system. Zandina is currently the more dominant player.

41.) 18 Aug 2018 15:51:43
Yes but leferniere numbers for his age are elite. By putting zadina in 2nd of all the prospects in the nhl you are considering him as elite. When his numbers should tell you differently.

42.) 18 Aug 2018 16:00:09
His numbers are quite similar to nico hischer was. But you also have to realize hischer was also touted as being a better skater and a better two way player. Eventhough zadina isn't bad in those categories either he wasn't up quite to hischer level. plus he's a winger and hischer was a center which we all know how much you value the difference in that. Hischer had a decent rookie year and could become a ppg player someday but he really isn't being considered elite by many yet. And I'm not 100% sure he gets into the top 4 in last years draft. But I still think he might have a better career then zadina.

43.) 18 Aug 2018 16:27:32
I’ll take Hischer over Svechnikov in a heartbeat.

04 Jul 2015 14:03:12
Which division looks like it will be the most competitive this year?

The pacific division has everyone trying to compete expect for Arizona. Every team in the central has potential to make the playoffs/win the cup. Metropolitan has the majority improves Caps, Pens, isles, and the former presidents trophy winners. The Atlantic division also has some powerhouses ready to compete like Montreal, Tampa and Detroit.
Which do you think?

1.) 04 Jul 2015 16:25:48
Pacific , Central, Metro, Atlantic

I could see every team in the west(except Arizona) being in the playoffs. Going to be lots of good teams not playing come playoff time.

20 Feb 2015 16:17:46
Do you guys think their could be a Kuemper - Niemi trade. With Dubnyk dominating I think Kuemper could be dealt. But since the wild already had a backup with Backstrom maybe it's for a sharks player instead?

1.) Yeah minny would want a prospect a pick or a young player in return

2.) I'm not sure of Kuempers value but maybe Gabryel Boudreau and a 2nd?

29 Jan 2015 22:32:27
Winnipeg has rookie goalie Hutchinson and up and coming prospect Eric Comrie? You think one would be moved?

If the Oilers get a top two pick this year and draft McDavid or Eichel what could happen with other potential star Centers Nuget-Hopkins and Draisatl? Would one of them be moved for a top 2 defender?

Which one of these Western teams will not make the playoffs? LA, SJS, VAN, CGY, WPG?

Just making some discussion

1.) Peg is bubble playoffs team right now, no way would they move a goalie. They need security should something happen to Pavalec/Hutchinson. If anything, they pick up a vet backup and bump Hutchinson down for security.

Oilers draft Mcdavid or Eichel and immediately trade RNH or Draisaitl? Really? because too many centers is a horrible thing, right? C'mon. No chance. Not for at least a couple/few years.

No clue on the other question.

2.) Peg will move Pavelec before they move Hutch of Comrie

two problems from the Edmonton perspective. 1) top 2 d-men aren't easily had, even if you're giving up an RNH. 2) Even if they draft top 2 and make a trade, they are still going to struggle. So does it make more sense to stay the path and develop the guys they have? Like anything, I think it depends heavily on what that trade looks like.

All three Canadian teams might be out of it (likely CGY and WPG). LA and SJS will come back around.

3.) Winnipeg has a veteran back up in Peter Budaj who's playing in the minors right now. I just don't really know what Winnipeg needs to improve. IMO they just need to get Kane focused in and on track to make that step to their first playoff birth.

4.) The Winnipeg idea was meant to e thought of in a few years would they keep 2 starters?
Edmonton I thought maybe trade a young center for a solid defensive prospect or a young goalie since they have so many young forwards.
And I personally think it will be Calgary.

5.) Right, well it's going to depend heavily on how well they are doing at that point.

How is Sandin better than Trouba? One is a lot more proven than the other. I get he’s having a good D+1 year but come on how bias can you be.

These two were just acquired this summer for Lindholm and Hanifin. Also, the canes have said they want a 1st+ for Ferland alone so I doubt this works.

I think it would be a fair trade. This is the kind of defenseman the leafs should expect in a Kapanen deal.

And to the “Arturi Lehkonen has nothing on Kappy”. sure he does, he has worse linemates. I’m not saying I don’t like Kapanen; but him and Lehkonen are similar in they way they don’t drive their lines, but can produce when put in a good situation.

I don’t even think these work in NHL 19.

Value isn’t that bad but I doubt Minnesota trades Dumba, that guy is a beast.

Thanks for liking my proposal. Mueller, Nieto, Wingels and 2016 first for Kessel. Some of the trades are brutal, like the Strome, Dal Colle and Reinhart from the islanders or Forsberg jones +. etc. Kessels value is seen different out of Tornto then in it. His value to the maple leafs is very high, which is why he won't be dealt. The city of Toronto wants way more then anyone else wants to give. Most teams would offer a good prospect, young player and a 1st or 2nd depending on the other 2 players but Toronto expects a world class prospect, high pick and a decent or good player. I've also noticed that Toronto fans just want loads of 1st round picks. 1st round picks will Definately help your rebuild but you need to be able to draft in the lower rounds to maintain a good organization. Look at Edmonton, 3 straight 1st overalls and they're still in the bottom, because they can't draft depth. Now look at Detroit, or Tampa. they draft extremely well, which is how they got to where they are. And this is my opinion on Toronto's current state.

I don't think vasilevski would go top 3 because he hasn't proven himself as much as the others. A year ago I would've said Hertl top 3 but he's been a 3rd liner this season. Galchenyuk, Forsberg, Reilly, vasilevski, Hertl and trouba as the top 5 though IMO
