The problem with this is that both guys are free agents. Montreal doesn't need to give up the draft pick in a trade for players whose respective teams are likely to give them the boot anyway. If they want Yak they can sign and vice versa.

Also, maybe you don't know how RFA's work? You can offer-sheet the RFA and based on the contract you send the team that owns the RFA a draft pick.

You can't just sign RFA's for nothing.
