As a Caps fan, all this does is screw up our team. Jersey and Philly are going nowhere, so why would Ovi and Backie leave when they want to win now?

Ryan's long term salary is too much for any GM to take on. Ottawa is going to have to suck it up and buy him out.

Once bought out, Washington can get him for a realistic salary and term without spending an asset.
