Couple of Trade Proposals.

Rangers Trade
Girardi

Toronto Trades
Lupul
Corrado

Rangers can put Lupul on LTIR and have a Young DMan to play in the bottom 6 or a 7th DMan and giving the Rangers close to 5 million in Cap Space after RFA Corrado is signed.

Leafs get a DMan who paired with Rielly or Gardiner only make the Leafs better, in a year or 2 if Toronto has other plans they can buyout Giradi.

Sparks
2nd Round Pick 2017

MMurray is the Pens Goaltender next Season and Fleury is to much as a backup, Komarov playing with Malkin will make the Pen forwards more deep then thay are now, Sparks can either backup Murray or start in the AHL if Pit signs a Vet backup.

Only if Fleury is over his health issues can this Trade be possible, if he is the Leafs Goaltending situation is fixed with JBernier as backup to Fleury

These trades are just bad for TOR.

Girardi is signed till 2020 and was a disaster last year. Lupul has 2 years left, and TOR could sign a better d-man in FA.

As for the Fleury trade, I honestly don't see TOR going all in on a goalie. PIT could get a better offer but I'm not sure who's making that move. I also don't think they would move Komarov.

I like the Rangers and Leafs trade, i think Girardi just had a one bad season, watch him bounce back next year.

Lets look at what the Leafs are giving up to get a solid RHanded shooting DMan in Girardi and a true #1 Goaltender.

Komarov, Lupul, Corrado, Sparks, and next years 2nd Round Pick and they have San Jose's as well.

Besides Komarov who had his best year in the NHL you have a LTIR Guy in Lupul, a 7th DMan, a Goaltender that has potential but so does Bibeau and Keskisuo, and a future prospect.

I real don't understand why this is bad for the Leafs to do when you consider that Michalek, Laich, Greening, Hunwick and JBernier are off the books with those contracts after next season which is almost 17 million in Cap Space and young players coming in each season.

This is a positive moving forward type of Trades.
The Leafs want to get better each season not stay in last place people.

Mike13 how do you figure Pit will get a better offer?
With MMurray looking like the future Pit is in a position of weakness in Trading Fleury as he would be the backup next season.
All Teams will know for Cap reasons Pit will want to unload Fleury.
This is a fair Trade as players go and what Pit should expect with a Trade of Fleury.
