Why would either team do this? It doesn't address anyone's needs and makes both teams worse.

Sharks get depth forword that they beed in hornqvist (top6) and kunitz (top9), plus they get a #5 dmen in cole.
Pens get top6 left winger that they need in marleau, plus some needed grit in wingels for the bottom6.
