Here's a trade idea, but it'd probably get shot down but here it goes:

Vancouver: Edler, Weber, Vrbata, 3rd

Tampa Bay: Carle, Johnson

Input? How would you change it?

I don't think it would be best prospect AND a 1st AND a good roster player. I doubt some teams would give up their best prospect straight up for TJ to be honest. Not taking anything away from him what so ever. But I doubt you would get ALL three of those things Draisaitl to be honest, maybe two of those.

Why would Van want this trade? Carle is older and Tyler Johnson is good but would not be the same guy on the Canucks. Western conference is much tougher and the Canucks don't have as many scoring threats at this point so Johnson would have less offense surrounding him.

It's not a trade for the Canucks. They want to get younger as well.
