If Anaheim still isn't doing good in the next couple of months, Anaheim could do these moves:

ANA - Marleau and Grosenick
SJS - Stewart and Gibson

ANA - Phaneuf
TOR - Theodore

Explanation:

Marleau would accept to Anaheim and it would definitely help out Perry and Getzlaf, getting their point total's up. Also in SJS Gibson and Jones would be amazing in the future. In the Toronto trade Phaneuf has been a stick in the mud for Toronto and would give Anaheim some defensive help.

Anaheim emphatically says no to both trades.

Why would any of these teams make these trades?

Anaheim wouldn't want to trade Gibson yet. I'd say that the trades would be:

ANA-SJS;
SJS: Marleau, Stalock, Nieto, and 2016 3rd round pick.
ANA; Khudobin, Stewart, Stoner, Jacob Larsson, Sekac, 2016 2nd round pick, and 2016 5th round pick.

In this one the Sharks get a power forward in Stewart who's looked good in his last couple of games, they also get a former first round pick d-man in Larsson who will help boost their prospect pool. Because Marleau has a very expensive contract they give up a 3rd rounder and a better player (Nieto) for a slightly worse player (Sekac) . In my opinion Khudobin is better and more experienced then Stalock so that makes the goaltending better.

The Ducks get a guy who can help boost their scoring in Marleau and a better player in Matt Nieto over Jiri Sekac. They lose a guy in Larsson who's got good potential, but because of the Ducks depth on D they can part with the kid.
