This is a trade that could happen during the offseason or at the draft.

So Detroit needs a RH D and Colorado needs young D for the future. So.

Col: Ouellette, B. Smith, J. Anderson, cond. 3rd*
for
Det: E. Johnson

cond. 3rd: A 2nd if Johnson plays at least 75 games or something like that. A 3rd if that dosen't happens.

I know Johnson is great right now but I personally think he would be a better fit in Detroit. And Colorado gets a great Two-Way defencemen with a lot of potential to become a top 3 D, B. Smith that still has potential but needs to play more. J. Anderson is just to make place on Detroit's roster for the young guns(Your welcome KCM). And a good pick.

So there it is. Thoughts?

Not even close det adds big time and col wouldn't trade away their number 1 d man when they need more d help

When you're only two good dmen are Johnson and Barrie, and you're already a team who is struggling defensively Johnson and Barrie both become almost untouchable. Avs will not trade Johnson at the deadline or the offseason.

Colorado is ready to give up young assets on forward for help on the back end. This move would make no sense at all.
