To Colorado: Keith Yandle, Mikkel Boedker
To Arizona: Ryan O'Reilly, Stefan Elliott, Calvin Pickard, 2015 1st, 2016 2nd

The asking price for Yandle is high so I figure ROR, Pickard and the 1st covers him and Stefan Elliott and the 2nd (maybe also another prospect) takes Boedker.

For Arizona: This helps with their rebuild, they get a solid Two way C who can move up and down the lineup, and a good backup who can maybe take over for Smith one day if Visentin isn't ready to go yet.

For Colorado: They get that top 2 dman they really need on the point and a 25 year old LW who can fit into the 2nd line with Mackinnon and Tanguay.

I am an avs fan so let me know if this proposal is too favoured towards the avs or not.

1.) I think that's an overpayment for Colorado. Their first should be pretty high this season and Pickard is a guy they like a lot

Teams linked to ROR. Arizona, Buffalo, Montreal, Toronto and Washington. These are proposals for all 5.

To Colorado: Keith Yandle
To Arizona: Ryan O'Reilly

To Buffalo: Ryan O'Reilly, 2015 4th
To Colorado: Tyler Myers

Now. I really hope this one is false because I think the Avs can get a better deal for better dmen from a different team, but here it goes.

To Colorado: Alexei Emelin, Jarred Tinordi, 2015 2nd
To Montreal: Ryan O'Reilly, Jan Hejda (cap reasons and is going to be a UFA anyway)

To Toronto: Ryan O'Reilly, Zach Redmond
To Colorado: Jake Gardiner, Tyler Bozak 2015 4th
Now I would LOVE John Carlson in Colorado. but he's a former 1st round pick on pace for a career high. so here's something a bit more realistic

To Washington: Ryan O'Reilly, 2015 3rd (and maybe someone for a cap dump)
To Colorado: Mike Green, Michael Latta

Let me know which one seems more probable or what you think could happen to ROR if he gets moved. I am an Avs fan so if any of these seem too biased let me know.

1.) There all decent trades but I really hope BUF doesn't trade Myers for ROR. It'll leave a massive hole in our defence for the next couple seasons and hurt the development of Zads and Risto. Myers is eating huge ice time against teams top players over 25 TOI a game. I think trading him without a replacement is a huge mistake

2.) ROR is also an FA at seasons end so we would probably loose Myers for nothing or have to make a huge overpayment to keep him I'm praying Murray isn't that dumb

3.) These deals seems very realistic although I feel the Washington deal seems poor compare to the other trades you posted. Correct me if I am wrong but isn't Mike Green set to be a free agent this year, and Latta is just a 4th liner seeing he only scored 4 points this season? People criticized a packaged deal around Cody Franson for O'Reilly and so we should do the same.

Although as a Leafs fan I would like to see O'Reilly as a Leaf I feel the Buffalo deal is the best deal for you, you will get a very young D man with amazing potential and is signed for a while. I may have read your comments wrong but why do you not like the Myers deal and what makes you think any D man you mentioned below is equal or if not better? I feel Myers is the best D man you can get compare to the other deal you mentioned.

4.) 20 Jan 2015 23:47:49
I feel like the leafs aren't getting back enough Bozak and Gardiner is a great get for Colorado but I feel like just adding a better player instead of Redmond helps the deal but i'm just beinga little picky all in all its a good deal

5.) Green is UFA, doesn't help Avs who won't make playoffs this year

6.) The Buffalo / Colorado trade is good, I'd like to see that.

7.) No I meant I don't like the Montreal deal. I'd love to get Myers, but he's a huge part of the Sabres blueline.

8.) @motherpucker I agree that Myers is a big part of the Sabre future and that is why Murray says he will only trade him if the offer knocks his socks off. But, I could see a deal for ROR. If the Sabres finished with the 3rd overall pick and neither McDavid nor Eichel were available, Murray could draft Hanifin and trade Myers for ROR. Sabres top two centers would be Reinhart and O'Reilly, not a bad start for a recovery. BTW if the Sabres end up with the 3rd overall pick, I could see Murray trading that pick and moving down in the draft.

To Colorado: 2015 3rd round pick
To NYI: Danny Briere

Colorado lost Stastny for nothing, they can't do the same with Briere. Briere is not going to be resigned by the avs and they need to get something for him.

Islanders get a good playoff performer for a low risk trade if they go far in the playoffs. Briere could be a good 3rd liner for them especially if he resigns for less.

motherpucker

1.) Trade does not work for the Islanders:

1) Briere is worth a 5th round pick at best
2) The Isles already have 6 guys that can play center, and better than Briere. Tavares, Nelson, Nielsen, Czizkas, Bailey, Strome
3) There is no room on the Isles roster for another forward, means they have to put someone on waivers, and there is not 1 player on the Isles that Briere would push off the roster
4) There is bad blood between Briere and the Isles from when he cross checked Frans Nielsen in the head while he was with Flyers.

You saw this trade on another site which was suggested by someone who write for a Ottawa newspaper who clearly does not understand what the Islanders need. The Isles need a veteran D-Man for their 3rd pairing, and if they can get it on the cheap a 1st line LW. There is no need for a washed up Briere who brings no value to them.

2.) Did you really just compare Statsney to Briere?

Briere is garbage.

two trades.
trade 1.
Canucks: Larsson
Devils: Kassian
both guys need a change of scenery.
trade 2.
Avalanche: Myers
Sabres: O'Reilly, Hishon, C. Smith, 2015 3rd.
Avs get a solid top 4 (top 2 on the avs) dman with good potential. Sabres get a good TW guy who's not having the best season, along with 2 good prospects (smith has 20 points in 32 games on a lake erie team that's not doing so well)

I'm an avs fan so if the 2nd trade is too in favour for the avs let me know.

motherpucker

1.) I like he sound of it, but I don't think it would happen

2.) IMO Lou Lamoriello would want more, I just do not see a trade between COL and BUF taking place because Chris Bigras would never be included in a trade.

To Sharks: Jeremy Morin
To Chicago: 2nd Round Pick (Colorado's)

Sharks get another guy who can help out a much needed prospect pool or could help out this season on an older sharks team

Blackhawks get a good 2nd round pick assuming the avalanche continue to tank. If this trade seems unfair look back at the Brandon Pirri trade.

When you're only two good dmen are Johnson and Barrie, and you're already a team who is struggling defensively Johnson and Barrie both become almost untouchable. Avs will not trade Johnson at the deadline or the offseason.

No I meant I don't like the Montreal deal. I'd love to get Myers, but he's a huge part of the Sabres blueline.

Good trade for both teams. Solid Trade proposal

No from the avalanche. Johnson and Barrie are the avalanche's best defenders and some would argue their only good defenders. Even though Ouellet and Kindl are dmen it doesn't make sense to trade Johnson. They could probably get Kindl through a different trade without giving up arguably their best defenceman.

I am a HUGE avs fan and I agree we could not get Hedman. Realistically if we were looking at 1st round dmen Gudbrason and Schenn are more realistic players we could acquire with what we are willing to give up.
