I think you posted a similar trade below involving Wilson and Kessel. IMO this takes Nashville in a different direction than what they have been going, which I am not sure they want to do.

It's likely the sort of trade that would take to pry Kessel out of Toronto and throwing Franson acknowledges that this team is very much in the hunt in terms of a playoff run. But again, at this point I am not sure this fits with the long term plan.

Remove both picks and NSH still says no. that's how bad that trade is.

Out of all the deals put here for Kessel this makes Sense we get a young stud dman to pair with Rielly to build our team around and I don't care what people say oh kessel isn't worth it but he is a perennial all star Who is top 10 in scoring every year and is exactly what nashville needs and would be great around defensive oriented forward and a more defensive oriented team

Franson:

Higher draft pick or younger top 6 fwd - 2nd 2015 (50-60)

I am not saying NSH wants Kessel or would do this trade, but you're kidding yourself if TO would accept less, especially with Franson involved.
