COL Trades:
D:Erik Johnson

Detroit needs a crucial upgrade on D and getting Johnson would be a great second pairing with Danny or Smith
Losing some top prospects and a pick sucks but it would be hard seeing either Frk or Ouellet making the big club anytime soon.

COL Looks like they need to build for the future and they already have a solid core of young players that they could add to with ouellet and Frk.

No from the avalanche. Johnson and Barrie are the avalanche's best defenders and some would argue their only good defenders. Even though Ouellet and Kindl are dmen it doesn't make sense to trade Johnson. They could probably get Kindl through a different trade without giving up arguably their best defenceman.
