Could someone tell me why this is unbelievable? The return helps both teams. But I could see why both Edmonton and Colorado would use those pieces to get a defender. Is that why?

ROR is one of the best two way forwards in the league he's young and can play center

The only benefit Colorado gets is that Eberle is locked up at $6 million for 4 more years - while ROR will likely be looking for $7 million for +5 years (no more bridge contracts).

In a vacuum this is probably a fair trade, but I think Edmonton has to add.
