CAR: 2015 1st round pick

If you don't believe Leddy is worth a first then know this. On top of his speed and ability with the puck, he scored 31 points last season. that's 31 points averaging just over 14 minutes per game, half the ice timeguys like Weber, Karlsson, Subban, Keith, and Doughty get and did it mostly with D partners Michael Rozival and Sheldon Brookbank. Point being, even if it's an early 1st (unless it's McDavid or Eichel) it's a fair deal. Leddy will be a God in two years.

leddy is worth a 1st,yes, but nt CAR's 1st. that has potential to be very good. also, CHI has older players that they can move out if they need to shed cap, not leddy who, as you say, is very good and still quite young.

I agree that Leddy is worth a first. But not a potential first overall in a draft that has 2 or 3 safe franchise caliber players.
I can't imagine the Hurricanes finishing any better than bottom 5-6 in the league, even with Leddy.
So even if they finish 6th, they still got a relatively good chance at McDavid thru the lottery.
Personally, I wouldn't sacrifice that for Leddy, who's good, but is not and IMO will never be a #1 dmen.

Too risky for Carolina IMO.could end up as mcdavid or somebody that never plays in the nhl. Would take king size balls to make that deal

But even a (lets just take a number here) 25% chance at mcdavid isn't worth sacrificing for Leddy IMO

Leddy is worth a late first rounder (picks 20-30) and Carolina will most likely have a top 10 pick

In the above trade you suggest the leafs would trade their first and a lot more for Evander Kane draisaitl.the same leafs you say stamkos won't sign with because he wants to win and the leafs suck.so the leafs should trade their chance at mcdavid and a lot more for Kane.but Carolina should not just move their pick for leddy. This does not make sense lol

2 why is worth it for the leafs to give up reimer,franson,Biggs and their chance at mcdavid and more to get johansen but leddy is not even worth the chance at mcdavid for Carolina.

Yes, that's what I'm saying. Because Kane is worth sacrificing that chance, Leddy isn't IMO.
I'd also say CAR should trade their 2015 1st for Kane. And Carolina will prolly be worse than the Leafs next season.
